Evening all
Has anybody mounted LED aux lights under the nose with success ?
I want some more light, but options seem limited to under mirror or fixed to front fender. Low down (fender) says :shit: lighting on the road, and under mirror just looks pants IMHO (but might be the best option). The only alternative is where crash bobbins might fit (where the side gills are) but the LED's would probably drown out the indicators......
And whilst I'm at it, what does the standard alternator kick out vs a standard bike power consumption ??
Cheers all - respect as ever :-)

Never heard is any under the nose as that's a thin bit of plastic just popped on.
If you were to put two lights they might be to close which I guess people don't like so go for the wider option under the mirrors etc.
Been thinking of doing this myself and the more modern LED lights don't draw much current, Debs will be along soon to put us right as she has some extra lights on.

I fitted twin PIAA lights on my Super Ten, they are heavier than you might think, but fortunately the S10 has a strong bracket designed for this purpose.
Lighter aux lamps are available which could probably be installed elsewhere on the GTR

And that's a problem because?
Actually if I'm turning left into a side road and there's a car waiting to pull out I generally supplement the indicator with a positive hand signal after all a flashing indicator simply means the bulbs working :)
Wook MAY be wrong on this one and waits to be corrected but ...
Am sure that any aux lights you install have to be BELOW the main headlight level.
If your after L.E.D lights ..Halfords do packs of 8 single L.E.Ds in red or clear .. I mounted some in the tigers top box as aux fog lights and tail light .
They are 12 volt and very noticeable for front daytime running lamps (the clear ones that is)
The down side is you would have to drill holes in ya fairing to fit em flush or make a L bracket to bolt index the air intake and mount em on that .
Hope this helps some what
I've got some of these (http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/262493706731?_trksid=p2057872.m2749.l2649&ssPageName=STRK%3AMEBIDX%3AIT)on order to replace the front indicator bulbs and have combined DRL/Indicators a bit like some of the Audis.
Will need too chop those connectors off and suitably connect and also tap off the parking lights (via a switch) for the DRL element
not an original idea BTW

They look good Mikey!

Been there for 2 years/15000 miles.
Wired to come on with high beam.
Cheap and very effective.
I have 2 on the 1400 and 4 on the 1000.

I like that idea.
I may well follow suit.
