Title: Paint code
Post by: Paul3068 on January 19, 2017, 10:01:13 PM
Hi guys
Need some help, I know you won't let me down, there is the chosen one out there that can answer my question
Paint code for a 2014 graphite grey
What do I need to take to the paint shop to get a match? I'm having my top box sprayed and he's struggling to get a match, any suggestions?
Many thanks
Simmo

I don't see Graphite Grey listed in the site below.  I had the same issue with my red 2008 even tho I had the correct colour name and paint code.  In the end he matched a paint swatch to the small battery cover I took in and used that as a match.

Nice one wildybeast! I can now do a DIY job on the unpainted Givi top box lid panel I bought on eBay, and touch up some scuffs on my panniers. I'll have a full set of colour coded luggage  I already knew my paint code (25X) but didn't realise I could get it in spray cans

Cheers

if you take your battery cover to your sprayer he should be able to do some test cards to get the right shade.Colour shade will change the more coats he puts on.I had my tank done Magnesium grey and was a pain to match but after loads of test cards my painter got there. :2guns: Being a top box cover it wont be as critical as a pannel to pannel match.

Chap who sprayed my Givi lids to match my Bird took a spare mirror pod I had in the same colour and his paint supplier used some scanning device to get a perfect colour match
