Usually before cleaning the ZZR I would have to pop it up on an ABBA stand and hope the bike wouldn't slip off as many owners have experienced in the past
So nice to have a center stand for wheel cleaning, and so nice not to have to degreace rear wheel, clean and re lube chain  Bliss!
Lucky us :punk:
Centre stands are a joy, I thought you could fit an aftermarket centre stand to the ZZR 1400
But I'm not aware of any shaft drive kits for the ZZR :mfr_lol:

no drive shafts for zzr ,centre stands are readily available for the zzr, had my last two zzr 1400.s with centre stands fitted from new , I bought secondhand centre stands from e bay for my previous zzr.s , makes life so much easier !!
Keith, out of interest, how do you think the ZZR comfort compares to the GTR

There was an aftermarket center stand?? Wow! 5 yrs on ZZR's and I didn't know that! :embarrassed:
Ooops, I think Motec also sell them

You will need to lube the stand now and again as it sometimes needs a nudge to retract fully when you roll the bike off.

the zzr with bar raisers and lowered pegs was quite comfortable for me ,the gtr is more comfortable due to the more upright position, the zzr was improved for me with the bar raisers and even though the lowered pegs were only about £20.00 on e bay and an easy fit as are the bar risers they made quite a big difference, I found both seats on the zzr and the gtr uncomfortable as was the gel seat, I went from a zzr 1200 to the gtr and did not expect such a drop in power from the 1200 to the gtr 1400 ,but I got used to it and did enjoy my time with my gtr , both different bikes , but you cannot compare the power difference between the zzr 1400 and the gtr 1400 ,a completely different world. now on the k 1600 gt and have never rode anything any were near as comfortable ,,you either hate the 16 gt or love them , at present very happy with the 16 ,but I do miss the zzr fantastic ride ...

not an after market stand , Kawasaki supply and fit them as an extra, you can get cheaper aftermarket stands , but when buying a new bike I always had the dealer to fit the stand before delivery ,cost around £240 from Kawasaki , but when buying a new bike you can barter with the dealer !!

You'd win that bet...it's either something to do with vomit or pants...I'm guessing in this context it's pants. :mfr_lol:

Cheers Keith, I did own a ZZR1400 in 2007, but couldnt recall how it compared to a GTR.
However I do recall just how phenomenal the ZZR is to ride and mine was an original 'smaller" engined model :mfr_lol:
Yes a centre stand and a GOOD SHAFT drive is utter heaven .
But WoOk had a momentary moment of panic WTF am I gonna do with 6 tins of chain wax and 2 tins of cleaner
Panic over . It works fine in protecting me 2 chainsaws .... it lubes the staring chain on the STIGA . It lubes the worm drive on me 2 vices and me lathe ....oh and it's canny with Aunt Bessie chips :mfr_lol:
The chain cleaner *after reading the tin )cleans brakes on the BMC mini tractor and of course the GTRs as well .
Now then guys ..what do you use ya redundant chain wax for
For the ends of my moustache wook :mfr_lol:
Brilliant!
Allegedly if you wear a rubber glove you can use it to...................................... :mfr_lol:

The comfort over a stand ZZR is immense. I am 6'2 so the weight on my wrists was bad and wind blast.
Shaft drive, no chain lube, higher screen, better riding position, mirrors that dont just show your elbows, panniers
However
ZZR1400 Performance sport - pinned open in third - is something I miss

I rarely used the power of my ZZR, in fact I can count the times I hit the limiter on one hand! :embarrassed: hence the change to the GTR, or one of the reasons.
I'm loving the riding position, the quietness (no more loud cans for me) and that silky smooth engine aaaaah . . . Relax and enjoy the scenery. OK and I'm getting old! :surrender:
I agree and wouldnt go back to a ZZR now - I like the riding position of the GTR and use it so much more.
Having riden a ZZR you know that the screen on the GTR is simply amazing - i see people swapping them out etc and each to there own but after the ZZR i am constantly surprised by how much protection the GTR has.
i never thought either seat in standard form was very comfortable after 100 miles or so my arse used to ache , and had to stop ,i didn't rate the standard screen on my gtr found a lot of buffering over 70 mph ,my last zzr was the performance sport and I found the standard screen on that wasn.t a problem ,i wonder what you would think if jumped on a zzr 1400 now after riding your gtr , I know the disappointment I first felt after coming off the zzr 1200 to the gtr till I got used to it ,I now enjoy the more comfortable ride now with all the extras ,but you still cannot beat the feeling when you twist open the zzr on a nice straight road !!!
oh yesssss, having owned a ZZR 1400 IN 2007, I can confirm that the acceleration is truly stunning
A couple of weeks on a ZZR leaves you with arms like an Orangutan and a neck like a giraffe :mfr_lol:
You sure it was JUST the ZZR That made you into a chimp :mfr_lol:
:nono: :mfr_lol:
Awwww he knows ah luv him lol :mfr_lol:
