WTF??? After a few hours on new bike!
Same here, I ended up getting some black sticky back plastic and cutting a bit out and attaching it, helps but does not cure.
Thats the down side to some boots, I have Sidi Adventure boots but I don't seem to rub them against the bike
Big Alans advice is good, and you should be able to effect a repair
I'd either take that plate off and get it powder coated or alternatively take the bike back from whence you purchased it and show it to the dealership and get them to order a new plate for you.
I had a 2007 GTR and I used Sidi boots and that never happened. Then I had a 2011 GTR and still using the same boots, that never happened. Very poor quality painting in an area which is obviously suseptible to wear and tear.
You pay a lot of money for these bikes, don't just ignore that damage.
I don't think you can blame either the bike the boots or the rider, its a combination and just one of those things
I've noticed the brake and clutch pedal rubbers wearing in my car :mfr_lol:
Slap a bit of hamerite on it :mfr_lol:
The same happened on my previous three bikes, and I have never owned a pair of Sidi's
I repainted and then put some clear protective film on them, like Kawasaki supply for the panniers.

Im afraid its normal sadly. You could try laying some plastic membrane over it to help after you paint it back to its colour or do like the rest of us and just keep riding it then when you sell it, av em off and paint em again 👍
excellent
Went out with my new boots, more of a tourer/adventure boot, fully waterproof
Got a couple of hundreds yards up the road and had to turn back . . .
I couldn't get my boot under the gear shift to change up!! :embarrassed:

Tie some string on the gearshift, pull to go up and dump the boot on it when you want to go down.
Simples.
sorry but basic adjustment to gearshift after new boot purchase is essential, I adjust my gear shift when I change out of my summer boots into my winter boots and visa versa
What about for those in between times?

Yep, as Jim says it's adjustable ..every day is a school day :mfr_lol:
I just wear daytona's all year round. All day comfy, waterproof, no gear adjustment needed on any of my previous bikes, and last for years.
