Title: 12V tyre inflator
Post by: Lewisman on December 16, 2016, 10:51:07 AM
Hi, just a quick question. I see the GTR has a 12V socket to the right side of the clocks, Will this take a portable inflator? I usually just take 3 gas cartridges in my kit but it looks a bit tight for space at the rear wheel for one of these.

when i 1st attempted to use the socket with a tyre inflator it blew the fuse, the original was a 5amp,i changed it for a 10amp fused saw a similar post on here saying the wiring was ok with a 10amp fuse installed,i hope this is of help to you.i think the earlier model's had a 10amp fuse as standard.

I swopped my 5 amp fuse for a 10 Amp fuse and have one of those small AA type inflators which seem to work fine although gauge is a bit hit and miss!

Many thanks for the advice, I've just swapped the 5amp for a 10, and I'll try the inflator out tomorrow.
