Correctamundo. ...Top Sellerie, is top job, all day comfort
Had a Kawasaki Gel accessories seat on a previous GTR and it took ages for seat and arse to get used to each other, dont get me wrong, it wasnt bad but just not great.
Sad deal when your seat on a purpose built touring bike is the first thing to go from new. Same deal with the rt1100,1150,1200. Thats a good few years with no address of the issue. Do these manufacturers not check the forums to get ideas. Seems obvious to me its the way to see if your product is a hit eh? Recurring complaints could then be rectified mid year or on the next model. No brainer really 🙄🙄
A Russell day long seat , made in USA , the country of the iron butt rides , it's not a seat it's a leather sofa , it's the most comfy seat I have ever had, and I tried a few , I had a BMW r1100rs years ago and that had a big wide thick seat as standard it was the best standard seat ,did 40,000 on it every bike afterwards I had a seat change , tony archer has done most of them , :biker3:
My best seat was on a BMW r100/7. 1978 vintage. Nowadays manufacturers only interested in performance not whether you can sit on it.
My best seat is a 1960 model Mrs WoOk  :mfr_lol:
I'm currently using a Bagster lowered gel seat (which I recently won on the bay) only done two shortish rides so far but the first impressions are favourable. :biker3:
Dave it sounds a canny seat ...but.. the down side I found with gel is ....when it gets hot ....as it can for 2 days in the UK :mfr_lol:.......the gel stores heat . And you end up with a roasted :asshole:....interested on the feed back as the next year warms up
Yep wook nothin worse than roasted pickle n salami on a hot summers ride. I have to say and bear in mind ive lost a lot of weight recently so my ass is a bit bonier than normal, that my standard seat has never been an issue to me and ive done some long rides over in france and belgium. The equivalent ride on my old r1100 rt and i wouldnt know if my wallet was was being lifted or someone was pinchin my jacksy cos it wouldve been so ruddy numb :mfr_lol:
:agree: and tbh I find the 16 kwak seat very comphy. .. ok longest my rump has been on it without a break is only 3 hrs .. but so far so good.
However ah used to love a salami and pickle sarnie ... after your description that is one culinary delight I will forgo :mfr_lol: :mfr_lol:

He has a very good reputation although I've heard that recently he is snowed under and consequently a bit slow .....only a rumour mind....here's a link

I find that I slide forwards on the stock seat (2011) so my bits are rubbing the tank (oh dear).
Do the above mentioned seats have this effect too or is it just the stock seat that does it?
Otherwise I don't find it too uncomfortable although it did take a bit of acclimatising bearing in mind the previous bike was a Goldwing!
my Top Sellerie doesn't push me towards the tank, whereas the OEM seat felt as if it did,
Since changing to the Top Sellerie my voice seems to have dropped a couple of octaves too :mfr_lol:
I have a Corbin fitted bought from across the pond.
I find it very comfortable it's about an inch lower than the standard seat so I am firmer footed when stationary on the standard I was tip toed .
Just bear in mind the Corbin are not waterproof I keep applying Duckswax saddle waterproofing. You can by covers of Corbin.
I have attached a picture of mine below it's the 2 piece one.
Sorry can't comment about the Sargent seat never tried one

A saddle that's not waterproof?
That would put me off!
What does the cover do? Can you ride with it on?
The inch drop is a plus though. I tend to be a bit tip toed too.
Sadly that is one thing the recycled panza did have and that was three stage adjustable seat height.
Hasn't helped your ears...

Our first really cold weather is slated to occur tomorrow through Saturday, down in the 30's..and 20's at night. No snow yet. Other parts of the country have seen snow already. Winter has been a bit slow this year to catch on.
