My 2010 is in for a service today, and the dealer tells me the front pads need replacing. Sound normal based on other's experiences?
I am used to my track bike doing a set of pads every 4 days, but not sure what to expect from the GTR.

Not worn a set out yet, only done 3k. Depends how you ride, and how much you brake. I don't brake much :-) Follow a "good" rider and you will not see much brake light, I some times just touch lever to put on light to help people behind.

True, I thought that I was a relatively light braker. I still practice a lot of the IAM techniques I learned, as you describe. I do ride it like a sportsbike every now and again though. I guess stopping 300kg of bike, plus 90kg of me, is a test for any brake pad.

My front pads which were the originals had done just under 14k miles and probably had 2mm approx of life left in them. I still have them but I did change them before my recent trip just to be on the safe side.
