Like most of us on here I've have had lots of different bikes over the years and been a member of many bike forums  but I must say that this forum is the best out there for having a bloody good  Although I'm a b.m.w owner now I still think the GTR1400 is the best big tourer on the market at this present time  In fact.. when I was looking for a more comfy bike than my ZZR1400 for touring I was so close to buying another GTR1400  the 2010 model I had for 3 years was trouble free and as comfy as my arm chair. but didn't think the GTR1400 100 kg more weight over the R1200GS LC TE would do my 'bloody' Rheumatoid 'sodden' Arthritis any good  just looking forward now to a possible GTR/BMW  weekend meet in the new year  just waiting to see what the "WOLF" decides to replace his B.M.W 1600 GT with....
we missed you too Dave...............no really :mfr_lol:
Despite your choice of bike you are very welcome!! I reckon the wolf will go for a GS.

Very possible if I remember correctly he was weighing the R1200 gs up before me.. but that may have been the air cooled boxer engine. The new water cooled GS is massive improvement on the old air cooled GS as is the complete bike  when idling or upping the revs at stand still.. it doesn't rattle ya teeth loose
The Wolf hasn't yet deceived what his next bike will be...I reckon it'll be a GTR, GS1200 Liqued cooled or another K1600. Only time will tell.
I await your decision with great interest.
