I had things to do today, but as the weather was so mild I just had to ride out.
The TPMS usually takes less than a minute or so to wake up, so as once I got a few hundred yards from home the low tyre pressure (front) warning lit up :ohplease: not again.
So I turned around and returned home with the front tyre pressure down to 30psi.
Close inspection of the front tyre revealed. ..................................absolutely nothing
So, what happened then ? WELL, yesterday I replaced both tyre valve caps with some of these, all I can think is that overnight the front one allowed air to escape
After being recovered from the roadside with a rear puncture only a couple of weeks ago I decided that on this occasion discretion was the better part of valour.
How weird is that

Is there a rubber seal in the new caps?
Yes there is, and in fact they look very well made
The valve top doesn't appear to protrude above the threaded part of the valve
Have a gander with a mag glass .. maybe just a small protrusion being enough to depress the valve.. or swop front and rear ..and divvent forget the SPIT test
I tried the spit test but didn't see any escaping air
I'll check it again int morning to see if there's any further loss of air, I havent put any dust cap back on yet.
Maybe it's trying to tell you to stop messing with it and just ride.. :mfr_lol:

:mfr_lol: :agree: difficult with a flat tyre though Debs :mfr_lol:
My tyre pressure seems to have stabilised now and a short rude out today confirms that all is okay.
So no more aftermarket dust caps

Nothing like a good rude out Rog :mfr_lol: :mfr_lol:
:mfr_lol: :mfr_lol: just noticed that Mo..it'd be rude not to :mfr_lol: :mfr_lol:
front tyre down at 11 psi before todays short ride out...grrrrrrrr.....blew it up and it held its pressure perfectly
Will check again tomorrow, maybe I have a faulty valve , so I'll change it and see how it responds
I'm getting a bit :censored: off with it now :hammer:
Don't suppose it is a Michelin tyre.
:mfr_lol:...could be Pete, ...could be :mfr_lol:
You could change it to an Avon speed master.
Using Michelin PR4's on the GTR I had punctures, using the same tyres on the K1600 I had none......luck of the draw, I think not!
BMW don't allow their bikes to be inconvenienced with punctures.
