On mine the bolt is at the bottom and then on the top of the rad guard are two lugs which simply hook over the top of the rad securing it in place.
Mine fits like LWs too

Andy, are we saying that the dealer put the rad guard on upside down?
Just took bike into local dealer for 4k service & told them rad guard was upside down. They've just put a bigger bolt in top....

And they are servicing your bike :o ??? :o ???
There should be no bolts at the top at all. If they have fitted it by bolting it into something at the top I'd have a good look and see if they have caused any damage. :o
This isnt the Beowulf rad guard I have as mine is black but I used to have this one fitted.

You can see the two lugs at the top and the bracket at the bottom which is bolted to the bike, thats it!
Hello
Many thanks for your reply.
The cover is designed to hook onto the lip at the top then bolt at the bottom.
An issue was brought to our attention earlier in the week whereby a customer had a problem fitting the cover.
We have the bike in the work shop this week and are currently working on a redesign of the fitment. Although the cover in it's present design does fit perfectly, it is proving difficult for customers to manage.
We expect the new design to be ready within the next two weeks, the prototype will be finished by the end of today, however it will take a couple of weeks for us to have a batch anodised.
Would you like me to exchange the cover you have for a new design one?
If so, please let me know your details and we can arrange for this doing.
Kindest Regards
Deborah Little

Now, that's what I call customer service!
That is good service. Definitely take them up on their kind offer.
Beowulf are pretty good on the customer service front, I've had a fair bit of kit from them for my various bikes.
Just got my new modified rad guard back from Beowulf :)

- have just received the same design of rad guard from beowulf,
- can anyone pls confirm that the hooks are at the top and the bolt portion at the bottom ?
- and are we supposed to bend the guard to follow the curve of the radiator ?
thanks
.
Yes the hooks will rest on top of your rad and the bolt fixing is at the bottom. The bolt fixing, simply attaches to a bolt that is already there on the rad. Just be careful when you undo the bolt as it may be awkward/seized and you could end up twisting the lug that the bolt is on. It'll make sense when you have a look at it more closely.
You will find that the rad cover will naturally just adapt to the curve of the rad.
- thank you kind sir !

"A Bench" Are you planning on putting the bike in a vice Andy ? :mfr_lol:
Fitting a Beowulf Rad Guard really is a 5 minute job, and they are a good company/product................well they are in Yorkshire ~ so wadda ya expect ...eh
After hearing the horror story from Glen on Saturday, I ordered a Beowulf radiator cover for my bike, fitted it tonight and all is well. You can only get them in black, and the latest ones come with the extra bracket on the bottom left as in Andys picture. Ordered mine yesterday at lunch time and it arrived today at 2-30. Exellent service me thinks.
- fitted the new Beowulf rad guard today.
- am worried about chafing against the radiator ? Would that be a problem ?
- that and the guard really needs to be bent to a curve first before offering it up to the radiator.
.
pistole, Ive had one on both my GTR's now and never experienced any chafing.
