 You HAVE been busy, and your bike is looking great....what exhaust can have you got fitted....the helibars certainly make a difference let us know what you think about them, out of interest did you choose them to solve a back problem or another reason ?
And what do you think of your sun shield on your Zumo 660 ?
I assume that you had to lengthen the Galfer brake lines, but what about the other cables etc. ?
Great looking bike mate well done 👍👍
Chose the helibars mainly for wrist ache.Wrong angle for me .Tried the risers but no go.I very nearly sold it but i think these will do the job.I have no limit to where i put them.Expensive but i like the bike to much to sell. The galfer hoses fit ok and i think i ordered them for a standard handlebar mounting. They will supply longer if needed. The helibars come with 6 inch line extensions to add to clutch and brake.Throttle cables are just moved to the outside of the fork leg.Zummo cover not very good but helps a little.I have to use my hand often to shade it.Off up to newcastle at the weekend so ile report back weather ime selling or not. Cheers
The exhaust can is a scorpion serket i think its called.Just removed the sticker.Just to add the heli bars kit comes with everything you need to do the instal.
Lovely looking bike.
Wildy im curious to know A. How much were the helibars and B. How much highr and further back can they go as i get shoulder ache with mine. 😬👍
Are you sitting down. They were £639 from here http://www.bykebitz.co.uk/.They are made in USA.Here i think is a link to there website.https://www.helibars.com/products/HeliBars%C2%AE-Horizon%E2%84%A2-ST-multi%252daxis-adjustable-handlebars-for-Kawasaki-Concours14/582.html ,Also see https://youtu.be/xXPtDjRk15s

thanks Wildy, nice job, well done, lets hope that you enjoy the ride to Newcastle and decide to keep the bike
I had a similar shade on the 660 I owned and like you I found it poor. Inow have a glare stomper on my Garmin 590 LM, it works much better and replaces the original one I fitted to an original Tom Tom rider about 7 years ago

this is gonna get tricky, Geordies doing verbal battle with a hillbilly :mfr_lol:
I'll try not to chip in with some broad Yorkshire dialect otherwise we'll be reet stuffed :mfr_lol:
lol will google translate work?
No, but this might help.. Pay attention, there's a test later. What's very interesting to me is that for the smallish size of the British Isles, there's so many different dialects..

Well done
The soft bag you have on the back looks very nice, it is not as big as the rear box, what make is it ??
Lovely looking bike the colour really suits it
Thanks. The bag on the rack is a GIVI CARGO BAG Ithink it is a 15ltr expandable to 17.
The verdict on the Helibars horizons. Well ime keeping the bike. Just done 2 150mile trips . No aches or pains and the bike is much more controlable when maneuvering .You have no limit to where you set them so will fit anyones style.Expensive i know but very happy with the outcome. Only niggle is they clash with the tank bag when in nearly full lock.I have the tank lock bag which allows you to move it back a few inches.
Same experience with me..
On the subject of Sam's extremely tasteful mods in this thread, the main attraction for me being the helibars.
I was just wondering if before you plumped for them you had tried a combination of the risers in the following format:
The 2" pullbacks with 2" risers on top.
Overall it means 4" up and 1" back.
yep i tried them all in different set ups.It was the angle(sweep) of the bars that were making my wrists ache when riding through stop start traffic.I did think of removing the bar tubes and having some made up with a slight bend to them.Bit the bullet and went for the horizons,Perfect. Get some ordered i guarantee you will love em.I see your in maidstone.Ime staying near the euro tunnel Fri 14 for a night. If you want to take a look your more than welcome to pop down.
I think the angle is my problem too. Only by a few degrees but it's a pain, quite literally.
Friday is a no go although I'll probably be able to wave to you at some point in your journey as I'm heading north to Sunderland that day (in the car).
What day are you passing on your return?
Are the bars generic? In that they can be swapped to different makes/models with a suitable new yoke clamp?
One more thing, have you got a link to the longer Galfer hoses?
Cheers Sam
Barry
This is the full kit i used.D768-5 from this company.http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/10-14-Concours-ABS-Galfer-5-Line-Complete-Brake-Clutch-Line-Kit-Black-D768-5-/231804276197?hash=item35f89c8de5:g:XsUAAOSwJQdXACce Helibars will supply you with a full kit Galfer i believe with the bars..Galfer may supply just the brake /clutch.Or you could take the old ones to maybe Hel performance and have some made up.cant see why the bars wont fit other models if you have the correct clamp. You will have to research as ime guessing.Train arrives back 12.30pm mon 17.Going to the Le Mans Moto 24.
Thanks for all the info.
Monday afternoon I'll be viewing a Ninja 300 for my son, so can't see you then either.
Not to worry.
Enjoy Le Mans
Ninja 300 is a gret looking bike
A Friend of ours wife has a 300 great little bike really impressed how she handles it, great bike to hone the skills when a bigger bike is required.

Looks a bit uncomfortable to me and I'm going to have to ride it home for him if he buys it!
Can't say I'm looking forward to that!
He is halfway through the test at the moment. Mod 1 test tomorrow.
The test these days is a far cry from the old 'round the block and just don't run over the examiner when he steps out in front from the most obvious place that he'll be stepping out from' days.
Sam, I confused myself with the Mondays.
I can meet you on BH Monday.
I'll PM you

Ouch...good luck, :mfr_lol:
It will make you appreciate gtr even more.
He decided to buy it.
I rode it home and to be honest it wasn't too bad.
It wasn't the sports stance and neck ache that I thought it was going to be.
So very very light!
