Title: Small steps
Post by: moayling on October 20, 2016, 04:31:22 PM
Well, 7 weeks and 2 days after my accident on the blood bike I have today managed a short (50 mile) run on my own bike. Everything seems to be ok. The shoulder is ok in the riding position but still plays up if lifted too high. My left wrist was complaining but has been like that for ages. Just need to keep getting out now and build my riding strength back up.

Thanks for all of the good wishes.

Cheers Mo

Yep Mo slowly and progressively do it ...
On the up side .. by doing something you enjoy ie riding ..produces endorphins that help in lowering the pain level .. they are addictive wee buggers and addictive .. however over time there effect drops as the brain demands more and more but we can't produce more ..  soo get out and do as much as poss .. and enjoy them endorphins.
Sp9ken by a wook that broke his back and neck.

Thanks for all the positive comments. Have been out several times now, gradually building up the pace and the miles. Everything feeling great so far. The blood bike that I wrote off is going today so I wont have a constant reminder staring at me every day.

Cheers
