Hi EVERYONE

Sorry not a regular now on this excellent forum.. but you know how it is changed bike and go eles where  but can honestly say.. this GTR forum is the best have joined  the other forums are ok for tips e.t.c but find they don't like the banter that we did. Have kept touch with a few members on here hoping for a weekend away or a decent ride out.. but one member in question as sold his bike so can't ride anywhere at the moment.. can't wait to see what he decides to get :undecided: may be a zzr1400 :sweatdrop:

As for my change of bike only after 7 months  and the fact I've had 4 zzr1400's over the years.. and still think they are the best all rounder on the market today, 6 months ago I started suffering with my joints quite bad and doctor sent me to a consultant and after a few tests was told I'm no spring chicken anymore  and have Rheumatoid Arthritis so now on pills every bloody week :hammer: July just gone! I recently returned for a 12 day 3,550 mile Europe trip and the the ZZR did not do my joints any favours  well I may be getting on a bit now... but I'm not passed it yet :nono: hence the change of bike so soon after replacing my 2013 SE zzr1400 for the 2015 sport performance ohlins model.. did consider another GTR1400 although they are a excellent machine did not want to buy something I've already had.. same with Versys 1000 great bike but been there as well.. may as well get something different  heard b.m.w have vastly improved the new model R1200 GS.. So went and test rode the new model B.M.W R1200 GS LC TE for most of the day and was well impressed with it.. No more aching wrists/back or neck also got a good p/x price for my zzr1400 for GS so ordered the R1200 GS LC TE MODEL with more elec gizmo's factory fitted than the wife as shoes  Not bloody cheap by any means :nono: but you only get what you pay for  and what a excellent bike the new model R1200 GS LC TE is to ride  may even come on the next GTR weekender if b.m.w's are welcome :whistling: As requested.. here is a fews pic of my new steed

well Rog.. shiver me timbers  just noticed in your profile you have a 2015 GTR.. What happened to the YAMAHA? Not saying that's a bad choice :nono: Far from it!! did even consider another GTR but after test riding the GS it got me hook line and sinker

I've been in touch with your "much older riding buddy a few times  even met the O.A.P  at the bridge.. must say he his still going strong.. he's a inspiration to us all  well done geoff .. I say bollocks to hanging gloves up :mfr_lol:

Dave the Super Tenere was/is a great bike but it will always be a twin and there's no substitute for four cylinders.

Also the seat height was causing problems with my hip, so the obvious choice was another GTR.........and no complaints,  the bike is a stunner

P.S suppose your "much older riding buddy will soon follow suit" DAM!! was thinking of selling him my pro cat laser chain alignment tool  which I no longer now require

P.S geoff..  do you want the pro cat laser chain alignment tool :whistling: to you it's  O.A.P DISCOUNT  BETTER THAN ADSA PRICE
