My GTR with loads of extras is back on eBay and is an absolute bargain.

If it was mine I would take off all the escort bits , and not mention that it is a escort or working bike ,and just sell it as a standard fantastic tourer , unless someone wants it as a escort bike I think you will have trouble shifting it as one , I had a mint Clio cup ,but as it was on a cat d people would not touch it with a barge pole even tho it was mint and £750 less than any other , bog standard with a few nice touches is the way to go , hope you sell it , best keep mine until it's worth more in scrap , :biker3:
I tend to agree, a standard bike will always sell, something no matter what which has been personalised for whatever reason is a matter of taste and if someone likes it then great a deal can be done, but finding that person might be difficult.
You could probably get what your asking with the bits removed which then gives you extra cash when selling them.
Just my 2p worth but if you go down that route give me a shout on the cruise control.
Great bike and lest hope it sells ok.
Agree with the 2 above, but that's only because I wouldn't mind some of the extras :whistling:
erm.. dibs on the Wind Deflectors !!!! :ohplease:
I'm in agreement with the above comments
For me a bike loaded with that type of accessories would be a negative.

I don't understand that I'm afraid. Which accessories would put you off?

obviously the ones that relate to the bikes history in escort work
Hi. If you take the Cruze control off, would it be possible for me to buy it please?
Cheers
Tim.

This bit.
Whelen hideaway LED amber stobes in indicators
Rear Red strobe
Flashing headlight
Whelen 50W all in one siren with vehicle horn integration (turns on and off and tone changes with bike horn)
Whelen 50W airhorn activated by horn when siren not armed
2 x UHF radio antennas on custom brackets
Lights/siren control box mounted on tank
Any non technical person would question how a bikes power system could support it, and unless you were going to carry out some sort of escort duty why would a normal biker want this lot? If I was the old bill having a bad day and I saw this lot going 50 to the dozen not escorting anything I might be tempted to give it a pull, I might be tempted to pull the bike just to have a looksie.
As I say stick it back to standard as best you can and advertise it at the same price, you may well get a buyer, then sell th extras to someone who needs or wants the parts.

Hey I have first dibs on that 😀
If you want to get decent money for your bike Id end this listing and redo the advert with no mention at all of it being an escort bike, remove anything from the bike that relates to its working life and re advertise it as just a plain joe well looked after bike.
To me it would be like selling a car that's been a taxi .
bigging up its life as an escort bike does not add any value for the purchaser , infact could put some off .

:agree: I couldn't have put it better myself.
To my mind, there are "performance accessories" and "personalisation accessories". The former improves the chances of it selling, the latter don't.
I hadn't even considered the option of "working bike accessories". Those would completely put me off.
Just my twopennyworth.
Cheers

Thanks guys; consistent message. Thanks for the feedback.
I guess I am just too lazy to take it all off but I'd better man up and do it

Well pretty much of everyone here is ready to help and offer advice, I have yet to meet someone who thinks the worst.
It will enhance your field of prospective buyers as many have said, I hope this works and you get good money for what it a great bike.
As stated before, if you want to offload the cruise then give me a shout.
Alan
After you have taken all the bits off, take some new pics from different angles and/or different location.
That way those looking on fleabay won't realise it's been relisted.
Good idea Debs, and if you have a nice stone wall around park it in front of that to give the rural touring look, not up your drive with a car next door and a garage in the background.
Presentation is key.
Like swelling that cruise control to me.
😀
Sorry guys. The bike has now sold to someone who wanted all of the accessories and paid extra for them so I'm glad I advertised them now.
Sorry to see it go but got a decent price so I'm happy.
That's a good result for you well done, the one person who wanted the stuff got everything they need without having to spend retail on it so it works all round.
Shame, I could have done with the cruise control 😒
