After my trip to Spain I think I'll invest in some protection other than my wife :whistling: so engine bars, which look good on the bike, don't want to have scaffolding pipes all over the place, and do they fit all models, mines registered in 2011, but I think a 2010 model?
I have the R&G front ones and the one time the bike fell over after a guy reversed into me they protected everything including the mirror.
I think they are a cracking addition and worth the money all day long.

Thanks, I'll have a look.
I also have the R&G bars, in black. They fit well and are hardly visible against the blue/black paintwork. Not cheap, but....
R and g on mine
Thanks chaps, looks like there the ones
I have the enterprise ones from across the big pond I also have the rear which because of access I put on when using the panniers.
Just a word of warning I checked with Kawasaki at Cradley Heath they need removing for any service work except for the 3700 one a picture attached below

Mine have never been removed when going in for a service.
Ordered a set, not cheap, but then a bike drop wouldn't be either, ask the chaps who were on the ferry with us :sweatdrop:

That's interesting Debs the service manager at Cradley Health told me 1 hr+ labour to remove and refit unless I do it but two of the bolts are engine mounts who wants to keep removing them :censored: what bars are on your baby Debs
The only time my bike with the R&G bars on has been into the dealer was when I got them to change the spark plugs, just to make sure all was well I removed the bars and rather than slide the long engine mounting bars out to put back the originals I made a couple of spacers and simply bolted them back up.
Easy peasy then to refit the bars back on again when I got home. If I had brains I would have measured the spacer when I first fitted the bars bit I didn't so had to go to work and get them turned up.

R&G easy to fit?
Yes, you are supplied with two longer bars which replace the original engine bars around the foot peg area, get a mallet (not a hammer) and when you undo the bolts you have to drift them out, when you do follow in with the replacement, the instructions are real when you have the equal amount of bar protruding out each side your there, you remove the two bolts through the side panel grill and replace them with the ones supplied.
Just fit the bar son each side losely then put the forward engine bolt in and do it up finger tight, then nip up the rear two then torque them correctly, if you want to be precise your supposed to torque the right hand side tight.
It's better if there are two of you as when your drifting the original bar out the person the other side can keep you informe of what's going on with regards to the new one coming behind it.

Charging you and not really removing them.
You should ask them why they remove them. What is the reason. If it is only to remove the fairings then that's bullshit because I can remove mine with no problem.
