Title: Vive La France
Post by: Kevin on June 23, 2011, 04:32:15 PM
Now that's what I call a protest. (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=EEP35DIPJJs&feature=player_embedded)

(I'm sure there must be a way I can embed that...)

That's good  :). I imagine there's quite a bit of work involved in maintaining a forum and I really appreciate your efforts (as, I am sure, does everyone else).

Are you going to install Tapatalk? I'm making an assumption that it's not already there as I haven't actually tried it on this forum!

Yes, Tapatalk will be there as well. I just need to decide on the software. SMF is free, but not as capable as some of the paid for forums such as VBulletin (which I am more familiar with).

I might upgrade to the latest version of SMF and then make a call on VBulletin.

Edit: and fix stuff like the crap logo on the top right etc.

I've ridden in similar sized protests with MAG and FEMA in London and Brussels back in the 90's.
I remember a ride from Harwood Hall near Upminster (Magna Carta Rally) to Trafalgar Square where we had Police outriders stopping the side roads for us.
They were having the time of their lives blocking the traffic until the 4000+ bikes had passed and then riding like crazy to the front of the ride to block the next side road. There were about 40 of them and I spoke to several at Trafalgar and they all had huge grins and said that it was great to get paid to do that kind of thing.
In France they are pretty militant but if the Govt imposed a 100Bhp limit here I would be doing the same.
