Post by: Kwikasfuki on June 23, 2011, 11:42:47 AM
Anyone know of a site that gives valuations of motorbikes?

Just in case I want to get a new GTR next year  ;D

Ideally free  ;D

Actually, does the car glasses guide cover motorbikes? If it does, then my brothers mate is a car dealer and I could ask him.

Parkers used bike guide.
Be careful with we buy anty bike.com. Their other company we buy any car just been done by the Advertising Standards Agency for misleading adverts. Their collection staff are commissioned to knock you down on the final price at collection after trying to charge you an additional £50 admin fee not mentioned in their ads.

What i have done lately, i tel/ several bike dealers to give me a price on a part ex of my GTR, SP1 and my Cadaliac STS 4.6 V8.

To my amazement, the best deal offered was by BMW Mottrad Chester. This was for all 3 of my stock against their, S1000 RR EX DEMO with 1,380 miles on the clock.

I find this the best and accurate way of gettting a true price for any vechicles, be it bike.car etc.

I was offered £7,300 for my 57 GTR, £3,800 FOR MY sp1 and £1,700 for my ten year old STS.

This meant they gave me their bike(11 plate 3 months old) + £1,800 cash back.

Hope this helps.

Cheers B/F

I got a valuation today for £6500. Its a bit on the low side, but considering I got my bike for 7.5k I can ride that depreciation. Probably be a bit lower next year, but I'm seriously thinking of a 2012 model.

The painful part will be migrating my accessories across to the new bike.

NB, was that from a dealer or an on line valuation?

Thats not a bad price though considering your mileage. Personaly I'd be tempted to get a used low mileage one from a private seller. I'd sell mine privately too. Prior to the GTR all my bikes were purchased from dealers but I saw the light and realised they rip you off something chronic!!
