Post by: craigjbrown on August 31, 2016, 10:18:16 AM
Any of you guys recommend any European  breakdown company's, mainly ones that will recover the bike back to the uk if the worst was to happen
Thanks

Hi Craig, having experienced a breakdown in Europe, I can't fault the RAC EU cover. Paid for hotels, taxis, flights, car hire, ferry, and finally the repatriation of the bike. It must've cost them a fortune. The only thing I would say is that they do like to try and get the bike fixed wherever it breaks down - if it can be done before your holiday ends, to save them the cost of getting the bike back to the UK..... so... if a module went poof they would expect you to stump up for a new one there and then if it could be fitted before you return home.

Thanks for your reply,
I was considering the rac just because the market value of the bike is unlimited, however it is the most expensive, but after hearing your review I think I'll just bite the bullet and pay it, the last thing I want is for a breakdown and they won't cover the cost of recovering the bike to the U.K.

Hi Craig,
You probably won't need it, but its worth that little bit extra for peace of mind, and to know that you won't have any hassle haggling if anything does happen.
Enjoy your trip mate!
