Title: Ireland
Post by: T700nny on August 30, 2016, 01:59:32 PM
Just back from a 7-day tour around Ireland.
Ferry to Larne and headed around Antrim Coast.
Onwards to Donegal, Sligo, Galway, Limerick, Tipperary etc
Avoided motorways at all costs and the roads were fantastic! nice, smooth and very twisty in places.
The road from Gort to Lisdoonvarna en-route to the Cliffs of Moher has to be one of my favourites along with the road over the Mountains of Mourne via Spelga Dam.
Cant wait to do it again some time!

How about some pictures,

Its many years since I was in Eire, I have however frequently visited and ridden in Northern Ireland and the Antrim cost road is a "must ride route"

I do a 1260 mile approx business trip 4/5 times a year to the island
Dublin, Dudalk, Templepatrick, Strabane, Stranorlar, Galway, Limerick, Marllow, Cork, Thurles, Carlow, Dublin again.

The road from Stranorlar to Galway is wide, open and light on traffic............

The pity is I've only managed to get over once on the bike and then only a quick dash Dublin Limerick Dublin for an in store show.

Beautiful country, light traffic, good service stations for filling up bike and yourself........

What more could you ask  :punk:
