Title: Forgetting Things
Post by: Debs on August 29, 2016, 04:45:46 PM
I'm wondering if anyone is experiencing the forgetfulness of getting old?  :mfr_lol:  :mfr_lol:

2 weeks ago I went shopping.. Packed everything on the bike, got home and unpacked and realised I had left the eggs at the checkout. Well that's what I thought. Today I fitted the front LED's back on the bike and found my eggs still in the left hand pannier..  :censored:  :mfr_lol:

Last year I went down to Bratislava, Slovakia.  The next day I went up to Prague. It was only when I got there I realised I had left my passport in the safe in the room. After 4 days I had to go all the way back, which was a 5 hour ride.. Doh..  :mfr_lol: :mfr_lol:

Come on guys. Lets hear your stories so we can all have a giggle.  :mfr_lol:

I'm sure OC has a few stories to tell us..  :mfr_lol: :mfr_lol:

Oh Debs.....how long have you got ?

These days I exercise the philosophy of a "Blunt pencil is better than a sharp memory" so i write notes all the time

That's what I do. I have wrecked my flat looking for keys only to find they are not in usual pocket.

It's not memory loss, if you're patient you'll see two men in black suits and a flashy red light. They spend a lot of time in our house 😀😀

Debs, you are not alone.  I can have a thought, walk a few steps, and totally forget what it was....unless I'm going for a beer.  That I don't forget.  I often wonder if I locked the truck after I get out of it.  Most times it is locked.  I can sit something down and totally forget where I put it....unless it's a beer....for the most part.  I did lose a beer the other day, though.   I have lost my glasses and then realized I was actually wearing them..

Lol - all the time. Couple of years ago we lost the house/garage keys. SWMBO acknowledged this was her booboo. Paid a locksmith to get into the house, changed locks etc etc. About 3 weeks later found the keys in the bottom of the freezer which we still think means the door was never locked in the first place 😄

My mate is forgetful, he forgot he was married when he was seeing the blonde next door and his wife walked in, apparently words were said and questions asked but he is still married.

I think 😀

I'm not sure if this falls under the forgetful sphere but last year I went the self car wash and put the credit card in the slot.  It wouldn't take the card so I pushed it in farther (thinking the gizmo that grabs the card needed more card) and then the card disappeared into the slot.  I then realized why it wouldn't take the card....it was the receipt slot.  Had to call the people who managed the car wash to open the credit card machine to retrieve my card...that was an
