As the title suggests, I'm wondering how any of you have attached flags to your trusty steeds ? Am looking for a temporary, low speed solution for processional style riding rather than a permanent highway speed one.
Cheers in advance :-)

I'm guessing you don't mean one of these :mfr_lol:

However if its one of these

you could attach it to a lightweight bracket in alloy which you can fix to the underside of the rear top box plate, I'm not sure but Debs may have something similar on her bike which is for an antenna
Maybe this ?

Will it be a BMW flag?
:mfr_lol: :mfr_lol:
I have a rig for two 3x2ft flags.
Will post pics some time this week when I put the rig on for a funeral escort on Friday.
I looked high and low for a pole to mount the BMW flag for the Scottish trip but never saw anything which was suitable.

Think Gonome may have the answer wolf
I did once, i put it partly in my upper open case at the rear and than closed it very well, so ca 85% of the flag was seen...
Ps it was not on a too fast trip😉
I bolted a 2" wide piece of flat aluminum across the factory shelf and drilled holes in the overhanging ends for a couple of small flag staffs.
Pics as promised.

As you can see the rig fits just in front of the top box. I usually keep the flags furled until needed as this is less strain on the rig and less wear to the flags. I have had this rig for a number of years and never had any problems. As you can see it comfortable accommodates two 3x2 ft flags. I only keep the rig on the bike when flags are needed. Pendent is mounted on a length of 6mm threaded bar. I have tried a variety of whip aerials, none of which worked. The pendent stays permanently mounted on the top box.
