Mot on the bike today all good.
So time to change the front fork oil, well the dealer any ways but I am removing the forks to save cash. Easy peasy, removed fairing both sides as I want to do the coolant as well, removed the righ and left hand upper bits, the one with the cubbyhole in, remove the bit of plastic under the headlight and you can now see everything.
Undid the upland and lower clamps and the lower one needed a slight prise open with a screwdriver and the forks slid out bottom no problem, oh I had the calipers off beforehand as well.
So if I can do it, anyone can. Now there at the dealers getting the oil changed after all they are five years old.
Let's hope it goes back together as well.

well done Alan, any pictures
Sorry Rog I got involved and concentrating on where I put the bolts and fixings etc so no it's.
But it's easy peasy.

In theory asi have done all the removal and placed them with there respective bits I should use them all, but Murphy's law says I will have something spare.

So forks refilled with new oil and spotlessly clean, refitted back onto bike and the wheel refitted spot on, all tightened up..
Coolant, hmmmm opened the drain plug and I knew the rad cap was still on, it polled out as it would but I placed my bowl to catch it in the right place and removed the rad cap, whoops I underestimated just how quick the coolant came it and before I could get round it had sprayed onto the garage carpet, moved the bowl as fast as I could and caught the rest.
Refilled with new deionised water and ran the bike up to warm, then left it for a bit and drained out again and refilled with engine ice coolant, it took just 2L to top the rad.
Made sure the expansion tank was correct and ran the bike up again to warm and switched off.
Refitted all the fairings and had just one black plastic pop thing left over but I know where it goes, and it's not going back in.
So will give it a ride out later in the week.
Time for a beer.
way hay...good man Al

Oh yes, double garage carpet, quality Axminster one side (one removed from a big house) and standard woven carpet the other side, bike goes on the quality stuff, her indoors car slums it.
Haha quality!
