I had mine done in Hinkley Leicesershire at Hilltop motors, Geoff is the guy and it made a big difference, smoother and more powerful and cost £365.

Google Hilltop motorcycles and see, it's worth it all day long.

The nearest to Essex that I am aware of is
BSD
12 a Green Road
Eye
Peterborough
PE6 7YR
Tel:+44 (0) 1733 223377Fax:+44 (0) 1733 223537

They are great with Ducati, not had any history with them for the GTR, but might be worth a phone call.

Never heard that happening with our bikes.  I suppose it could, though.  Probably like being struck by lightening...very low odds.

Well mine survived and is certainly not dead  :scooter:
They regularly re-map race bikes to suit the different tracks etc, if it killed the ECU I think they would have stopped it a long time ago.

:agree: if reflashing the ECU was a problem it just would not be happening, and certainly not at the prices that get bandied around. There is always a slim chance that something could go wrong, but that usually is down to operator error and can be rectified, even if it means reverting to standard ECU setting ( which would be most unlikely)

Glad it all worked out for you Birdpilot, it is something I would like to get done, but there are too many other items on my list with a far higher priority. ( like paying for all the tours that I have booked for the remainder of this year and those throughout 2017 ) The GTR "unflashed" is hardly shabby so I can wait
