Title: For those of you who like cleaning ......
Post by: Rusty on August 01, 2016, 04:14:36 PM
Ok chaps and chapesses I have been here long enough to know that many of us like to clean our bikes and for our steeds to look good as much as possible and others who clearly don't .... and I understand that
IF and only IF you would like to unleash a whole new meaning to keeping your bike (and car) free of muck then may I direct you to "Detailed Clean.co.uk" ... this is NOT for the faint hearted or those who wish not to clean as viewing is at your discretion and may make non cleaners feel faint or even sick.
Just for your info.  :mfr_lol:

Asif still relies on a heavy downpour to clean his bike.  :mfr_lol:

CLEAN? But it'll lose all it's character. Besides it's only the stubborn understains that are holding it together.
Never been a clean freak. I'd rather ride or mechanik than clean.

as the years progress I am less inclined to spend hours cleaning,  so yesterday I cleaned my bike after its round trip to Northern Ireland, it was VERY dirty, 45 minutes later it looks superb again

A hose rinse down first then apply MucOff leave for a few minutes hose down again and the wash off with Autoglym shampoo followed by a final hose down......voila. ......quick leather over and once dry and tucked away in the Rev Shed a quick polish with aerosol  Autoglym Show Shine, which is brilliant as it doesnt leave any of those horrible white polish deposits on any of the Black stuff, in fact I also squirt it on tbe Black  stuff too, it polishes off almost immediately.

Result ...one very shiny bike ready for more abuse..

Simples

I'm not anal about cleaning but do keep the bike washed off. One of the best polishes I've used on plastics is Mr Sheen furniture polish. Spray on Wipe off and only about a quid a can

I try to go every year with a couple of mates for a blokey weekend.
Ride up Friday, few beers and curry, show on Saturday, more beer and curry, ride home Sunday.
So yes, I am going this year.

I still can't make a final decision.....if I do go it may well be a last minute decision and I'll be there and back within the day so no overnight stop
