KLLSWITCH?
Main fuse?
does the dashboard light up?
Nothing. It dead
It's after...
I've had wheels out. Fairing off.
All back together today. Turned ignition on. Started. F1 on dash n lots of flashing
Turned off.
Turned on... Won't turn on.
Dead
I've separated the grey block. Back together but nothing still
No click on kipass. Nothing
Taken neg lead off battery for 5 mins. But still all completely dead!!
It sounds like it's :censored: .
Have you anyone near you who can run a diagnostic check on it?
Constructive input!! It's fooked.
Shall be scrap it then
Battery flat?
Obvious fault it might be.
Alan
No it's got charge. It started n ran for 30 secs till I turned it off due to F1 on dash. Tried to restart n now nothing!
Like it has no battery. Fuses all checked fine. Not a thing on ignition press.
Red alarm light flashing that's all
Sorry you have done all I can do, but I bet it's something small and stupid, it has to be as you have done nothing wrong.
Good luck.
Alan
Cheers. Can't understand why it would start. F1. Then dead.
Wish I'd not bothered with it
What happens if you disconnect the battery for say 10 minutes and let everything reset?
It has to be something daft as you have done nothing wrong jus powder coating, I am going to do the same over the next month including the diff housing, and if I can do it anybody can.
Alan
Already have done this for a few mins. Only removed the negative lead tho. Few mins. Back on. Zip!
I mean nothing!!!
Well Bugger me... It works now!!
Went out n just thought I'll plug in the optimate. Pressed the key thing a few times n click... It then started but f1 code 39. Left running for a min
Turned off. Pressed key with fob on the square thing n alls well !! No codes no nothing. Just all working
Bloody gremlins then
Stoli
See you have to talk nicely to our bikes, no good swearing at them or upsetting them, nice and gentle.
Glad to hear all is well.
Alan
It would have been sold within a week ... Trust me
Code 39 is kipass communication error just in case you want to check fob batteries , I think this can happen also if the bike battery falls below a certain voltage .
KIPASS ECU Communication Error (Service Code 39)
KIPASS ECU Communication Line Inspection
○When the data is not sent from the KIPASS ECU to the
meter unit, the service code 39 is displayed.
○The data is sent through the CAN communication line.
○The service code 39 is detected with the meter unit. •Inspect the CAN communication line (see CAN Communication
Line Resistance Inspection in the Fuel System
(DFI) chapter).
If the CAN communication line is normal, check the
KIPASS ECU (see KIPASS ECU Power Supply Inspection
in the Electrical System chapter).
If the KIPASS ECU is normal, check the meter unit (see
Meter Unit Inspection in the Electrical System chapter).
If the meter unit is normal, but the problem still exists, replace
the meter unit (see Meter Unit Removal/Installation
in the Electrical System chapter).
Thank you. It's now on optimate and I changed fob one last month.
No longer :censored: .
