Title: Beowulf exhaust
Post by: moayling on July 27, 2016, 10:22:47 PM
Thinking of replacing the spud launcher with a Beowulf carbon oval can. Considered others but had Beowulfs on my FJR and liked them.
I cant decide between the 380mm or the 450mm. Will the 380mm be too short?

I would value your opinions, especially from anyone who has them on their bike.

Thanks

Mo

it's down to personal preference Mo, I would think that the longer pipe will be better at clearing exhaust gases away from the under side of your pannier, I reckon it will look better too.

Just my ten penneth

I have a shorter exhaust on mine but beware of melted panniers if the exhaust finishes too short. You might be alright if the exhaust ends with a tail pipe. My Delkevic ends really big and has warmed the plastic around the rear hinge. Nothing serious.

That's the 450 mine has same end but finishes under the pannier I've fitted heat deflectors to prevent anymore melting. But I love the sound.
