My eyes are sensitive to bright light so a helmet with a sun visor is necessary for me
I recently bought one of these

Its a good helmet and being an Arai fits my head very well. BUT the external sun visor snaps down without warning which is both annoying and at times dangerous, plus the external sun visor when splattered with flies is extremely difficult to see through when used in conjunction with a splattered helmet visor, it's just not a good design, I also find the helmet hot and uncomfortable. All this is a right pain jn the :asshole:
So I had no alternative other than to buy another helmet and opted for the Shoei Neotec.....its brilliant and far better than the Multitec I owned years ago, I can thoroughly recommend it,
I just wanted to share my experience which might help you if you are considering a new helmet

I have two Schuberts
the S2 with inbuilt visor
and the C3 PRo flip front with inbuilt visor and I also have the SRC collar fitted for satnav.
I would recommend ether some claim it makes them heavier I don't feel much difference.
A bit pricey but like the old saying you get what you pay for quality is never cheap.

:agree: I too have this lid, and in plain old silver - great bit of kit. Shop around though - I paid £320 for mine, but admittedly at the NEC bike show last year from LidsDirect
Scorpion's have the sun visor. Never had a problem with that. They don't hold up well to birds hitting in the side of it at speed, though.
I have the Schuberth C3.. The sun visor is good but I find that when the sun is low, it don't help as good as I like..
So I bought some window tint and stuck it at the top of the sun visor.. It now works a treat

thats a great price
+1 for the Schuberth C3 Pro. A quiet helmet according to report's, but I always wear ear protection , light for a flip, comfy with good venting and useful drop down visor.
I have the Shark Evoline. The only -ve is the inability to fit a Pinlock.
Also takes a bit of getting used to using the visor opening lip (it's at the top of the visor).
Can be used as a full face or open face.
Awesome in really hot weather and can still use the sunvisor and main visor in openface mode.
I tried the C3 and the Neotec and preferred the Evoline, although the C3 is awesomely quiet.
After nearly 5 years I will soon be replacing my Evoline2 with an Evoline3 as that can use a Pinlock.

Any reason why you're not going for the new Evo one?
Not sure I want to part with the extra £80 for the Evo One, but may do. Won't be buying until Dec/Jan anyways.
