Title: Bluetooth Comms.
Post by: GTRpilot on July 20, 2016, 08:58:33 PM
Perusing the Brittany Ferries "Advice for riding abroad", and noticed it said Bluetooth devices are illegal for use in Spain? Anyone confirm this?

Bluetooth devices are fine satnav music etc the only thing you can't have on the device is speed camera detectors theses must be turned off or removed. You risk a big fine and the confiscation of the bike .

I'm looking at http://www.brittany-ferries.co.uk/guides/driving/spain (http://www.brittany-ferries.co.uk/guides/driving/spain) and I can't see anything about Bluetooth?

As Pross already said, it does say on that page "Radar detectors are illegal in Spain whether in use or not. If you are caught with such equipment in your vehicle, you are liable to a hefty fine."

Cheers

That's because you are looking at advice for 'Cars' driver's  :whistling: , have a look at "Motorbike touring in Spain" on the BF site and look at the last sentence in the Road safety section .

Whoops! My apologies. I was indeed looking in completely the wrong place. Nearly as bad as Brittany Ferries giving completely wrong information

Cheers,

Surely the moral in this is obey the rules of the country you are in !!!!!

Coman, sitting on the terrace overlooking the Med just outside Fuengirola and its 27c already, I shall be going out on the Tiger 955 later, I will not be carrying waterproofs, almost definitely in shorts, vest and trainers
