Now we are all big boys and girl, and as it's (only just) a free country so that means that we can make a choice what you ride in and that's entirely your choice but when I watched a nutter aboard a R1 "dressed" in shorts and tee weave in and out of the traffic at high speed on the M2 it made me go cold with fear, he'd have resembled a pizza if he'd had come off.
I also saw lots of people with no gloves or jackets.
Skin and tarmac don't mix :biker3:
Recently in America came across a rider who fell off his Harley in t shirt. Not a pretty sight. I would rather sweat than risk no protection and be cool.
:agree:
It always scares me to look at these numpties who walk amongst us ! I received a compliment from a certain Mr Plod recently when sat at a set of traffic lights sweating my wotsits off that both me and my daughter were (as he put it) properly dressed. Life's too short - and whilst a set of leathers may not save your life it will save your skin !
I firmly believe that if they want to ride with no protection then let them, but if they come off, they should have to pay for their own medical treatment.
NHS shouldn't have to help these :censored: dipsticks.
I wouldnt dare ride in shorts, that's just plain stupid!

Yes that's what I meant to say, I've edited it.

With this fully......CE or "approved" clothes else cover invalidated!
T-shirts, shorts, and tennis shoes appears to be more normal over here with the HD and GW crowds. If I'm riding I'm wearing textiles (somewhat dirty...depends on the weather), gloves and a full face helmet. There's no insurance hit as far as I know for being stupid....there should be.
whilst we're on the subject of two wheels and insurance........do cyclists have any requirements to take out insurance, I reckon they should, especially as some seem to insist on wearing lots of Lycra, and riding in groups (peleton) like twats :gun_bandana:
You wouldn't lye on the beach in leathers and a crash helmet.
So why ride in shorts and a vest ffs as debs said we would all pay the bill .
The minimum I wear in this weather is red route denims with armour and proper bike trainers.
It's horses for courses
Pross you've set a challenge now, I want to see a photo of you laying on a beach in your full bike gear. :mfr_lol:

Worrying :mfr_lol:
No choice here over the channel in Belgium : ought to wear long trousers, long sleeves jacket, gloves, helmet and at least low boots...
You are warned when coming over

I low sided my Sprint ST at around 25/30mph in Scotland and the damage to my Hein Gericke jacket and trousers was pretty extensive, I can only imagine the damage to bare skin. I cringe when I see people riding in shorts a tee shirts, but its their life, its just a shame my national insurance pays for their mistakes.
oooh I'am getting old and grumpy lol
Just been watching Trevsgtr's video of them having a lovely time in The Dordogne ... T shirt for him and shorts for the Mrs !
Slightly off track but still talking about idiots.
I recently heard on the radio about a group of 20 something year olds who had hired a boat to reach an island where a Pokoman figure was, they got into difficulty and had to be rescued  how bloody stupid where they :censored:ffs they're not kids but going after some stupid fake character could have cost them there lives :stupid:
Darwins law of natural selection comes to mind in all of the mentioned examples :2guns:
Pay for the NHS ! All ready paid NI ! Insurance void ? Individual choice.French bike cops tee shirts n trousers,Yank bike cops tee shirts and trousers....UK full ce cos the weather is always crap and so are the cage drivers !
Many years ago when I was a wee bairn I rode my CX500 through St Tropez with shorts, t-shirt and no lid. It felt good but I wouldn't do it now cos the Mrs would chop my knackers off. :death:
