Title: Tempted
Post by: PRD on July 17, 2016, 08:13:20 PM
Today I was looking at a gtr 2015 model with a very low mileage and wondering if there were any advantages over my 2011 model. It's done 1500 miles mine has done 32000 miles and is 5000 to change. Am thinking.

I wrote a quick overview of the changes in this post (http://www.gtr1400.co.uk/forums/index.php?topic=4758.msg65272#msg65272)

The changes are mostly for the better, but they are all fairly subtle.

The 2015 model as standard comes with cruise control, sat nav, radio, heated seats and grips, central locking and bags of style, finesse and power..........hang on, we are talking about the K16 aren't we?

I hadn't previously seen that posting, which is in my opinion  excellent,  the only personal observation I would make is that the screen vent doesn't seem to make much difference in terms of buffeting or the clearing of rain from my visor (I do have a Laminar Lip fitted) I'm  6'2" and now generally ride with the screen only slightly lifted from fully lowered

The changes to the latest model GTR are, as stated, "subtle ", and a reflection of gentle evolution

I  do like the latest two tone colour scheme and rubber pillion peg coverings, the Black bars, brushed steel effect dial surrounds and reservoir colours are quite attractive.

The rear brake (on my bike at least) is poor...I've yet to adjust it

But I thought post 2014 there was an integral tumble dryer. Not sure I'm interested now!
