Got a bogus email from Charlie747 (yes, it really was bogus) with an off the wall domain that wanted me to click on a link. I didn't. Yahoo had caught it and put in my spam folder but in reviewing my spam, thought yahoo was wrong and marked it as a false positive. When I previewed it on Outlook I saw that it was bogus and deleted it forthwith.
I got another email from an English friend (not on the forum) doing the same thing on my work account. So something is running rampant over there so my advice would be to change your email password and get a good anti-malware application and run it on your PCs. Not sure that's going to help but I don't know what else you can do. It looks like it's taking the name on the first part of the email and then adding the bogus domain on the other part.
Something is getting the name portion from somewhere. And for goodness sake don't click on any links you aren't sure about.
Jim

Both of the errant emails came from users of btinternet... Although that wasn't the domain used for the fake ones.

I hate to bring this to our attention but we've had a few ourselves oh riders who live in glass houses..
I think that the Wolf secretly longs to be back on a GtR but just can't admit it. It's ok we understand.

true Jim, true, but ours have been for comparitively minor issues.....nothing like gearboxes or engine paint flake etc.,
Very true....minor things such as the rear brake seizing up, the side cases ejecting (reminds me of a destroyer throwing depth charges), and the plastic rear rack coming apart. The electronics, engine, transmission, and rear drive have proven to be quite reliable.
you're forgetting headlight adjusters falling off (both mine did on my first GTR)
At least those issues occured over a 7-8 year timescale not 7-8 months :mfr_lol:
Yeah, but that's not a recall. In fact, I have one off now but as I don't adjust them, I haven't bothered to get a replacement. I should as I'm still under extended warranty.
