I have normally done between 10k to 12k each year, yet this last 12 months I have only done around 4k. I must be getting lazy to go out on my european trips. :mfr_lol:
Now I am doing NEG, that should increase
What is everyone else's average milage per year?
Bike almost 5 years old purchased new by me, just tripped to 26k miles, so just over 5k a year for me, BUT that was with me using it for work, now retired it will drop right down.
Alan
I probably do 5-6 thousand per year.
About 7000 a year.
4K miles in 2 months of owning the bike but that includes a holiday to Black Forest, I usually average about 12k a year as its my only form of transport
I think I'm down to what Debs is doing these days. I'm getting older, don't like the heat, don't like the cold, don't like drenching rains, starting to hurt on the longer rides. I really think my days of riding are winding down. I am driving my truck more, though. I do like that. I'm not even contemplating not riding at all, it's just I don't do it as much. Used to ride into Ohio every year but didn't last year and won't this year. Instead I'm driving with the wife. We stop at more places and enjoy things more.
I covered about 8000 last year, got my new GTR in February and its only done 2800 so far, I too seem to do less longer distance runs these days
Same as me Rik.. My baby is my only form of transport.
I have been around Europe twice on my own, to Austria, Hungary, Slovakia, Czech Republic, Poland, Germany & France.
It's now become a bit boring as no one else to share the experience with. Yes it's nice to not have to wait for others and can do what I want, but i end up twiddling my thumbs when I stop en route.
I would love to head further east.. Get over to Russia and meet up with the GTR guys there, but no way will I go on my own. Already planned that trip too.
I did have a trip planned, which should have happened this year.. South of France - Corsica - Sicily - Italy - Switzerland then home. Just don't seem to have the get up and go anymore. Well not on my own anyway..
try these Debs apparently they help :mfr_lol:

I cover around 7,000 miles per annum between the "new" bike (Versys, GTR, BMW or whatever I own at the time) and the two "old" bikes that I keep on the road with it. This might change now that I have more time, having decided to retire a few years early.
surely you're too young to retire Colin
Being a man of leisure now I really should get out more on the bike, tour planned in September to Northern Spain, would like to go down and do the Croatian coast, two dogs to consider though.
Nowhere near enough for me
Debs, what's NEG ? (sorry for being dumb :stupid:)
10K a year, all in the east of England for the last few years.

I'm doing about 8000m between 3 bikes , if I was retired I would do a lot more not less ,I try to have a ride at least twice a week it's work or family that I have to steer round , going to try some trips on my own as riding with others is ok , I like to stop when I want and eat when I want to , but like Deb says you tend to not have anyone to share the moments with , :biker3:
OC, very kind of you to say that. In theory, I should work for a few more years. However, in late winter I had a completely unexpected offer to buy the business, followed only days later by another!
Now I am an employee on a zero hours contract with what was my own business and rather like it!

You clearly made the best decision
20,000 a year, split between the 1400 and the 1000.
Mostly the commute but some fun miles.
