Title: MOT Time.
Post by: GTRpilot on May 31, 2016, 08:45:22 PM
Thankfully passed no problem , so I celebrated by buying some ASV levers for her and some "Ultra Vision" bulbs, the blurb on the box says "Colour changing technology for maximum safety". Creates an eye catching change in colour as the bike is moving apparently, 12v 60/55w H4's, should be okay?
So tomorrow I'll mostly be scraping my knuckles

A tip on the ASV Levers!

Because there so nice, you'll end up flicking them!  I guess you'll say you won't - but if you don't someone else will!  its a spring thing - they work fantastically..... especially at traffic lights....

However, it breaks the spring and its a pain to replace - easy but a pain.

so tip is - order yourself some new springs to put in the draw and forget about (you'll thank me later).  there pennies  - like 50p each I think.  I would also liberally white grease the springs - they are cheap carbon steel and tend to corrode easily, - add a few flicks in - and they snap easily!  (white grease is thick enough to cover and protect them from the weather.

Anyway, that's my tip of the day.

My ASV Levers are about 7 years old - been on 3 kawasaki's - 2008 ZX10, 2011 ZX10 and now live on my Z750R.  Love them.

Neil
