Title: Europe breakdown cover
Post by: snowy on May 26, 2016, 02:25:38 PM
Gonna take some insurance policy to cover the proposed break-up!

But, vehicle breakdown cover...... annual holiday approaching, Brittany Ferries not offering vehicle breakdown we've used in the past at the mo - "issues" with provider - my own provider, Brittania - If I add it to one vehicle is gets added to all on the policy.....ouch!
Did some Googling (is there an E in there?) and never realised there are companies who offer single trip cover, £30 - £50, never heard of them, anyone have any experience with providers like this?
Does the Wolfs' RAC fella do freelance?
Thoughts appreciated.

I always use Green Flag Tel No: 0345 246 1558. I take out an annual policy as I am a frequent traveller across the channel. Think they do single trip deals. There rates are usually competitive.
If you need Health/Travel insurance cover try "Holidaysafe", they do not stipulate the engine size of the bike, and cover over 70's ( which I am). Not many companies offer this type of cover.

I always use these guys

Always reasonable, but never had to claim!

I am with MCE and they cover me for when I'm abroad on the RAC cover.

For motorcycle travel insurance I use........

Got to say that I had to use my RAC cover once in Europe..... paid for flights, hotels, car hire, flight home and flights back to Europe to collect the bike.... although the French garage never fixed it in the end.... wouldn't let em near a push bike.... anyway... the RAC paid for me to get back home and relayed the bike back in a van. Must have cost them a fortune, but never quibbled about a thing when paying out. Great service from them.

check that any policy has repatriation for the bike . Also most medical insurance does not cover you for motorbike travel, usually only motorbike specific medical policies will do this .
