My 2010 bike has an aftermarket cruise control fitted. It's worked fine but last weekend, after a cycle event in the snow, it has stopped working on my way home.
It turns on OK but it won't allow it to be set. It did start working again on my way home from another event on Sunday but then stopped working again.
I know a few of you have them fitted so does anyone have an idea about what the likely cause could be?
Could be a bad connection/ground...
I fitted my aftermarket one and TBH it could be one of several things , not enough info to trouble shoot your problem. could be the unit itself with a board fault , could be the signal from the rear light ect, fault with the Vacuum chamber, fault in the servo controlling the throttle cable, ect ect
What one is it Phil?

Result........nothing worst that the thought of unexpected problems and expense.
Trust all is fine ?
Which system have you got ?
Well done Phill. Yes which system is it?
What was causing the brake light to stick on?
I'm not sure what type of cruise control it is; it was on the bike when I got it. The controls are above the left handlebar and I think it's the vacuum type as there is a big drum under the right fairing panel.
The brake light got covered in crud during the bad weather during the Tour of the Reservoirs cycle event (rain and snow for 2 days) and has been stuck on since then. My weekly POWDDERSS check would have picked this up earlier if I had bothered to do them and it was only a check ride for my upcoming RoSPA retest which picked it up :lipsrsealed: I have done 3 other cycle events, including the 3 days of the Tour de Yorkshire, without anyone mentioning it was stuck on
