Confession time i'm afraid:embarrassed:
So had to make a 340 mile round trip on the GTR, first decent mileage ride since buying her.
As i was setting of at 06:30 in the morning i decided to prepare the bike the evening before so needed to move the bike to the centre of the garage and slip on the panniers. This involves a couple of shunts back and forth. Removed the security cable from the ground anchor and shunted forwards (no problem so far) then a shunt backwards and then it happened :undecided:Crunch! looked around nothing in the way! what the FFF!
Those of you who use a disc lock have probably guessed, yes forgot to take it of  so now i have a large chunk of plastic missing from the underside of my front fender :surrender:
I have now purchased a reminder cable so this stupidity doesn't happen again!!!
Confession over the ride was fantastic. left Eastbourne along the coast up the 23 round a very slow M25 (bike is great at filtering by the way, very well balanced compared to the ST) up the M40 to Brum land. So pleased with this bike!
Now where did i put that super glue?
You're not the first to ever do that and I doubt you'll be the last! :mfr_lol:
Thanks Wolf, I think

:agree:
You should consider yourself lucky that you did not damaged brake discs
I did that Tony and was lucky to get a replacement in the same colour off fleabay. Have a look on there, but also search for a ZZR 1400 front fender as they are the same as the GTR.
Yes have had a look Debs but nothing right now.
Tony...try here, there is a front guard/fender for a GTR in their listing

Thanks OC but wrong colour, found a lot but no Metallic tungsten gray
Okie dokie, twas worth a shout, D & K are known for having spares for modern bikes
Buy a lovely little embroided red tag with "remove before flight" on it, I think they come from China, cost about 80p and look "very aircraft"
Please don't refer to the mudguard as a fender. This country is getting more Amercianised by the day and I, for one, don't like it :tank:

I actually have one of those and use it when I use the disc lock.

Parts book will call it a fender. Older kawasakis had two part rear fenders and were listed as 'rear fender, front' and 'rear fender, rear'
