Hello,
I've been here a couple of months now while looking for the right bike, and finally found it two weeks ago, travelled 120 miles, to test it on the Saturday and had it delivered on the Monday.
I had Tuesday off work, got all togged first thing and went to start her up and, nothing apart from a click, after charging the battery checking all the fuses, changing the fob battery and checking the obvious and stupid things like the kill switch! 5 hours later I ended up calling the dealer for advice.
We went through everything on the phone, he told me to go out and see if it was in neutral, which it was, he asked if the green light was on, errrr no! wiggle the gear lever, green light on and it fired straight up. What a Numpty, I've only been riding 20 years lol.,
Its my first used bike and first Kawasaki, 2010 10reg with 10,000 miles. I gave it a good 200 miles on good Friday and love it, had a couple of false neutrals though so it may be a trip back to the dealer for a new neutral switch.
I've been hitting the search button hard since getting the bike and over the easter weekend I have totally stripped the bodywork changed all the fluids, replaced the filters, removed and painted the radiator, removed and greased the shaft, stripped and cleaned the brakes, detailed all the paintwork and screen (not a scratch or swirl to be seen now ) and got busy with the ACF50.
Just need to get it used now.
oh and a brilliant site for information

I couldn't have got my bike sorted without this forum, basically just making it mine and getting to know it if you know what I mean.
I am not very good with computers, I've only got a laptop and a dongle, ooh err, but I feel at home already. I'am getting all emotional now
Paul.

Still not sure Charlie. Otto is more of a challenge to ride fast due to 80s suspension but is way more comfy.
Vivian is much faster and smoother but the weather protection is not as good.
The choice may well come down to the weather forecast for the weekend.
