Ok so im looking at the manual but I does tell me exactly where under the seat I find the emergency key some pointers would be appreciated.
Thanks
Charlie
what emergency key would that be then ?
It is supposed to be a flat card like thing with key in it around maybe under the lock ecu under the seat as far as I can make out.
well, that's a new one on me.
Yeah you're right Charlie, it's just not under the seat.... you should've been given it with the bike.... certainly on the bikes after 2010 anyway. You place the card by the key switch to start the bike if the fob battery goes flat.

Ok thanks , im not imaging it exists my bike is 2009 so it may be stashed under the lock ecu under th seat I will ha e a look on Tuesday when it arrives .
08 and 09 didn't have that option. You got two full sized fobs with them, though. You can get one of those cards from a dealer and have it programmed to the bike, though.
Charlie, as Jim has said, make sure your bike has two fobs when you take delivery
Will do ,the dealer mentioned the 2 full sized fob just need to make sure I get both,
Thanks alll for you input.

Piggy Malone always does.
Is there a sticky note with the exact batteries needed.
I'm going to buy a set if u can find them easy enough and store them under the seat just in case. Be aright pain to get stuck when on tour!!
The fob battery on mine are 2025 Cheap
Piggy malone has ordered c2025 £3.00 for 4 from amazon with free delivery bargin , lets hope he shears them with charlie farley
I don't keep spare fob batteries but then again, I'm a wild and crazy guy. Those batteries (at least in the US) are ubiquitous here. You can even find them next to the condom dispensers in the restrooms. Also every store around has them. Why keep one when all it's going to do is age and go bad? Even with a dead battery the fob can start the bike using its rf capability and if you have the credit card version, that does the same thing. So I'm going with that great US philosopher, Alfred E. Newman, and say 'What, me worry?'.
I know I'm late to this thread but... I remembered seeing this in the owners manual. Thought it may help in a dire emergency.
Cheers

Don't forget a small flat blade screwdriver to pry FOB open!
when I bought mine new in 2010, I only got one full sized Fob and 1 credit card type key . The later works be holding it next to the ignition barrel.
Was not aware that you get 2 Fobs
My bikes a late 2009 and I got 2 full size fobs I think that 2010 got 1 fob and 1 card .
