Title: Hello from a Staffordshire newbie
Post by: UncleBigBad on March 19, 2016, 05:44:15 PM
Hello from a grinning idiot in Staffordshire who has just bought a new bike. 63 plate monster that has me nervous already. I pick it up on Friday of next week so may be away for some time after that !  Please excuse any dumb questions that I may ask, and am looking forward to many miles being munched over the next few months

Welcome from East Sussex.

Ive been an owner since January 2016 and still have a big grin  :biker3: but i did upgrade from an st1100 so most anything would make me grin

Ask all the questions you like however daft, someone always has the answer. The advice i have had over the last couple of months on the forum has been very helpful.

Greetings from Shropshire and welcome!   :scooter:
Been on mine for a year now, best bike ever owned!
No such thing as a "daft question" - a question is a request for knowledge - always welcomed!
But as far as daft answers....................................

   ok so Friday turned into Tuesday and I'm officially in the club. Picked up the bike this afty, quick (but steady) 70 miles home and I'm flippin impressed. Quick turn around for SWMBO to jump on the back and she's impressed too. How do I stop this huge grin ????

Indeed - yours even looks the same colour as mine, but you had time to take some piccies whereas I could only manage to mop up the drooling mess :-)

Enjoy 😄

I've now had chance to add a piccy of my new toy, taken midway through our 150-odd mile loop of the Peak District on Friday.
Can I just say thank you to everyone who has already offered help, advice and witty banter. I've added a Zumo satnav this weekend (Aldi special) but am not sure on the mounting location....RAM bracket fixed to clutch lever. It seems too high to me....we'll see

Waiting on delivery of a base plate and top box to arrive (thanks to Heroblobs and Stolichnaya) then we're good to go roaming
Cheers peeps
