has anyone fitted the 590 onto a kawasaki type mounting between the bars ?
Does it fit ok ? I'm asking because the 590 is a wider device than the Zumo 660 which itself is a close fit, or is it necessary to use a stem or Ram mount
i always found the between bars position too low for me on the GTR and much prefered the higher position the ram bar gives
Is it the 590 that you're going for now OC, have you made your mind up?

Well I'm just considering it at this stage, the 660 that I have is good but I fancy the later features of the 590 LM
I was wondering if it would fit in the 'between the bars' position that my 660 currently occupies because the 590 is a little bit bigger, having said that the lower between the bars siting is quite low and a bar mounted Ram fitment might be better.....the jury is out :mfr_lol:

Viper, have you got any pictures showing the Ram installation ?
I fitted one of the lockable ones from touratech onto the Kawasaki std mount it raises it up a bit and stops the opertunist thief when filling up not cheap but I like it
Use the link below and search zumo 590 it's between £112 and £117 depends on colour

I have one of those for sale on fleabay at the moment, however its for the Zumo 660, as you point out they are very good if a little pricey,
That route might well be an option, although I'm still not sure that the low between the bars option is the most suitable position :undecided: :undecided:
