So, my Garmin Virb came with 2 sticky pads. One flat, one slightly curved in both directions.
Now, the slightly curved one is obviously to stick on top of your crash helmet, but I don't want to look like a TellyTubby, plus I look around too much (over my shoulder, etc. Any footage would induce sea-sickness).
Now, can I find a flat area on the bike to stick the flat one? Not a hope!
Where do others mount their camera?
I'm now looking at a mount that clamps onto the crash bobbin, unless anyone has any better ideas.
Cheers,
Paul B.
PS: I don't want the camera looking through the screen, and I don't want it showing the speedo :whistling:
I'm not familiar with the Virb or its attaching methods, on my previous GTR I attached my GoPro hero to a attachment pad under the rear view mirror
Ths GoPro has the inverted filming function
Might be worth getting extra mounts to change viewing angles etc if you're touring Paul to make the edit more interesting. I only had one mount when I went and it all looked a bit same ish. My mount was under the mirror too, but would've been good to have one looking back and one to the side to catch mountain views etc.

So far so good, I know they're only lightweight fixings for fairing trims, but appear to be holding up well. All I used was some longer stainless cap head bolts and loads of washers between the plate and the fairing panel so no undue pressure on the plastic.
Plate is made of 2mm aluminium plate, will be made in 2mm stainless when I get more time, swmbo has me busy in the kitchen swapping bits about........and the sun's shining!
Thanks for the replies, guys
OC: The Virb can do the inverted thing too. I just didn't consider mounting it upside down under the mirror... D'oh!
Shaggs: I agree completely about multiple viewing angles but... one mount at a time!
Dick: Neat installation. I like that a lot! I might try and emulate that!
Thanks again for the replies.
Cheers
