More to the point..........have you tried wearing a regulation issue police whistle under a full face helmet ?

The risk assessment for choking on it must be a MAX  :mfr_lol:

Nigel says the Police in The Met are tougher than anywhere else in the UK so swallowing a whistle in the call of duty won't bother them.  :mfr_lol:

I imagine swallowing your whistle would lead to all sorts of amusing situations when you get a bout of hiccups  :mfr_lol:

I wonder what kind of whistles they are, as I would have thought the sound would be slightly muffled due to the helmet ??

Had the pleasure of being in a convoy escorted by the SEG through London, they are very skilled at what they do. Just kept us rolling all the way through to our destination. Excellent

The whistles are modified by attaching them to a guedal airway, which is a piece of curved plastic used to keep the airway open for an unconscious patient.  One end is in the mouth and the whistle is attached to the other end which is now level with the adams apple below the helmet.

I hope that makes sense

Just Googled that device, I'm not sure I'd want one of those in my mouth either, I'd be gagging!
