Title: Tank Bags
Post by: Mikey on January 11, 2016, 09:40:18 PM
Is that time of year. I've got a couple of trips planned and need a tank bag, nothing huge just to keep charging leads, paper work etc. in.

Any recommendations? SW motec, baglux ( not one of my favourites ).

The SW Motec option is probably the best way to go in my opinion from past experience.

:agree:

I've got their small tank bag thanks to Flatfour and it is ideal for all those small items we seem to collect and carry these days.

Nice bit about it is that due to the quick release mounting and its small size it is nice and easy to carry with you once off the bike  :punk:

ive used this for a few years and find it to very good with plenty space (expandable ) plus secure attacment/detachment when filling up

Similar to the SW Motech one. No votes for baglux then.

I like baglux/bagster, bags, but not the way the cover fits on the GTR .

I have  Givi bag with the tank ring fitting, very happy with it.

The Bagster tank covers have never been a very good fit on the GTR and I think that's why so many prefer the SW Motec option.

The Givi bag & tank ring gets my vote. Just a shame it can't be used on the Gen 1 GTRs.

My Bagster cover fits fine. I just find taking the bag off and putting it back on way too fiddly - impossible with gloves on, and a pain in the :asshole: at petrol stations.

Cheers
