Title: Sp engineering exhaust
Post by: Martyn1965 on January 09, 2016, 09:10:22 PM
Hi guys,
Been thinking of a end can for my bike and saw the above on eBay. Has anyone used on of these and would you rate it.
Cheers.

Maybe this which looks good

Looking at the picture closely, I wonder if that registration number is still attached to a GTR

Hi I'm still not sure, want to get the one that would look and suit the bike. I will ring them and get some advice I think. Can you guess I cannot make a decision.

Martyn only you can decide and in my opinion whatever you choose will be the right one. Good luck choosing and let us know what you decide

Hi, I've got an SP Engineering can on my 2009....looks good and sounds like a thunderstorm with the baffles out (they're now back in at the request of my neighbour). The power delivery seems smooth without remapping and tmaybe a little more mid range torque, the only downside is the popping on the overrun, but some people like this....

They say "Loud pipes save lives" but I'm certain they also attract undue interest from PC Plod, as well as pissing off the neighbours on a Sunday morning.

I've nothing against the sound of the original exhaust. It's just a shame it's so fugly (imho). I was lucky enough to pick up a 2nd hand Remus Okami from a mate who p/x'd his GTR for a ZZR. It doesn't sound overly obnoxious (no complaints from the neighbours so far) and I much prefer the looks.

Cheers

Paul B.

I've got no objection to a loud pipe.....but artillery fire is a different story.

I road it with the baffles out through Ampthill, which is a quiet little Georgian market town.......oh boy, some of the locals nearly 5hit their Jodhpurs.

:tank:

Ride it through Luton and nobody would notice!
