latest news update, the new 'un should be here mid January, so I've sorted the insurance which cost an extra £64 until my existing policy expires in April 2016.
So bring it on, all extras/farkles have now been removed from the Super Tenere and I've already sold a couple of items ......result
Can't wait to see it!
I'm jealous!
Latest update ~~~~~~~my new bike has arrived at the dealership and will be with me early next week

is it summat to do with periferal vision, or lack of, or maybe Charlie is in zone of pure bliss whilst riding his bike, so much so that he becomes 'blinkered' :mfr_lol:

i've started to add some extra's ~~~ Heroblobs (Phils Farkles)Top Box plate, Grip puppies, Sat Nav mount and wiring which is currently work in progress, still to fit are Beowulf Radiator guard and a Pyramid rear hugger, so plenty work to be getting on with for te time being
Once the weather improves and the roads are a bit less salty I'll be getting some miles on the bike TBHI can't wait
I will post pictures but can't until I've re-sized them into an acceptable format size for the forum, which is a bit of a pain :hammer:
We can't wait either!
Right, Sat Nav and wiring installed, thanks again Mr Kawasaki for not leaving much free accessory cable under the rear seat latch :hammer: Rear hugger fitted as is the fron radiator guard, so all set to go
Ill edit picture and will post real soon.......promise :mfr_lol:
Roger did you know that the sat nav on the K16 is really complicated to install. Firstly you have to remove a small plastic panel on the dashboard and then you have to click the sat nav into place, followed by......oh, that's it. Then you're done!

getting back on track.
Since the bike arrived it hasn't been possible to get out for a ride due to very frosty weather and heavily salted roads BUT I cannot wait any longer and the forecast is good (ish) for tomorrow so I'll be out and about late morning when hopefully the roads should be suitable to scrub the tyres in.
All my extras are now fitted and I'm ready for the off :biker3:
I'll report back and should be able to post some long awaited pictures
Roger, nice one. I wondered if you were just keeping it in the lounge to admire! :mfr_lol:

had a nice but shortish ride out to Helmsley via Northallerton and Thirsk and up over Sutton Bank, it wasnt too cold but I was well insulated
It was a joy to ride and TBH I didnt really feel like I'd been away from a GTR for a few years, obviously the bike is massively different to the Super Tenere but so, so, so much better.
Firstly the seat on this latest model is excellent and very comfy, the heated grips are as good as ever and kept my hands toastie warm, the gearbox is superb and for a new bike very smooth indeed, brakes are smooth and progressive.
Even though the bike is heavier than the super 10 it doesnt feel so on the road
The vented screen hasn't convinced me that it makes any difference, however I was on smaller roads and not many A roads which may have given me chance to assess it further
The performance is really as good as I would have expected but i didn't rev above 4000rpm
Unfortunately the roads were very very dirty so the bike needed a good clean when I arrived home, I've taken some pictures but need to resize them through photobucket which is running very slowly so i haven't had time to deal with that yet, but I will post something soon.
Maybe ill be out agIn tomorrow and will take some more pictures
Miles covered today is only 100
Excellent!
Finally photobucket seems to be responding albeit very slowly, so here's a picture taken at Helmsley ........the bike is looking very muddy and was even worse when I got home

Arrived home looking like this , it took a while to get clean especially to remove the baked on mud from the downpipes ...I've ordered a fender extender

I like it even if it is muddy. Lovely bike.
Thank you, I am well pleased too, I especially like the two tone side panel effect
