Title: An appeal for help.
Post by: Lonewolf on December 09, 2015, 12:06:15 AM

I would be eternally grateful if when you get a chance you all watch this short video, especially if you are a dog lover. If anyone on their travels sees this dog, Bella, a Springer Spaniel tied up outside a shop or at a pub or even just being walked down a street please take positive action. Bella is quite distinctive because of her spots to the side of her nose, she is 4 years old and her family are missing her immensely.

There is a substantial reward being offered for her safe return, £1500!

Please share this video, anywhere and everywhere, it needs to go viral!

As a dog lover that video has touched my heart. I'll keep my eyes open for Bella.

I have also taken the liberty of copying the URL and will post it on other forums

Lets hope she is found safe really soon and returned home

George, yes it's on Facebook, Dog Lost and almost everywhere. There are nearly 8000 members on the FB group all helping in one way or another to locate Bella. Unfortunately the owners are no closer now to finding her than when she went missing in early October.

She was definitely stolen as the thief is on CCTV taking her but the video quality from Tesco was shite.

ive shared it on my facebook site .
Its going to be a tough one locating a dog like that , ive seen a few black and white dogs like that in my time but im probably not going to remember the markings if I should ever see it , what do you do, approach the owners, phone the number but dog is long gone.
I really do hope they find her, such a sad story

John, I know there has been some searching for her in Ireland as it was suggested that she had been taken there as part of as large dog theft gang. So far no joy,,,,travellers sites have been checked although not perhaps as quickly as they could have been as I understand it the Police were reluctant to enter them.

I couldn't bare thinking about my dogs getting nicked and constantly wondering if they were ok. There are some heartless bastards out there,

Good news! I think she has been found in Bristol and reunited with the family. She was wandering the streets and picked up by the RSPCA.... Happy days!!

Yes Bella has been found, apparently safe and well apart from a few sores to her feet. The account I have been told so far is that she was running in and out of shops in Bristol and one member of staff from a shop managed to get hold of her and put her in her car for safe keeping. This lady then called the Dog Warden and either they, or the staff at the RSPCA centre where Bella was then taken scanned her (she was chipped) and discovered she was stolen and contacted the owners who then travelled the 130 miles to collect her.

Everybody is understandably overjoyed that she has been found safe. It looks like someone dumped her in Bristol and by pure chance she was found by someone who did the right thing and the rest as they say is history. Interestingly though, when the lady found Bella, she was approached by someone who said, I Know Who's Dog That Is, They Only Live Round The Corner, I'll Take It Home. Thankfully the finder declined this offer.
