Sorry mate dance music not my thing, never was even when I was younger.
Proper rock bands and blues singers are my favouright, but also have a fascination for the Rat Pack :punk: listening to "The ultimate Frank Sinatra" at present, pure class, that's wh the man's still so popular.
Me too! I mean about Frank. In fact, there's a special on our tv this Sunday I'm not going to miss!

Debs, you little tinker :mfr_lol: You've posted a link to Laura Fabian before, and she is a really fantastic singer
I will listen to almost anything, within reason. as my music collection ranges in taste from Andrea Boccelli to ZZ top and there is something about an orchestral interpretation of 'pop' music that is soooo good, particularly when played ata venue like the Albert Hall
At the moment Jesse Glynne is on our home playlist...................................but I'm NEVER far away from any Beatles track

I can remember many years ago, riding in our Dad's Rambler station wagon on the country roads in England listening to the Beatles 'I want to hold your hand' as my Dad attempted to teach my Mother how to drive...
Jim, That track is one of my all time favourites, which got me thinking that it was covered by the Overlanders back in the 60s, so I Googled them...here

I love Foxy Lady. The recorcd is not too bad either
The Frank Sinatra special over in the US. Taped it on the DVR, just listening to it now. Most of it I just wanted to throw up. The high spots were Frank, Seth Mcfarlane, and Tony Bennett. The rest of it sucked. When you have Garth Brooks in a cowboy hat singing Frank Sinatra songs you just want to kill yourself. No one had the 'voice' except for Seth. Hard to believe but he can hit it. When Garth came on I fixed a vodka martini and got feeling good. Also, as Charlie can tell you, I get sad for England when I drink.
I'm coming back in 2017... I fully intend to kiss the ground when I arrive. in my eyes... I want to be stung by stinging nettles and healed by doc leaves... I hope to see you all then.

One of the less well known bands that are, in my opinion, 'special'.
If you haven't heard them before check this and some of their other tracks out

It seems that after a brief overindulgence, I posted some music vids in the wrong thread. Steve has been kind enough to remove them. Therefore I am recreating them again here whilst still sober.

I was watching his 50th Anniversary Special on our PBS last night. I really enjoyed it. I haven't really paid him much attention over the years. He is quite good. Seems he inherited his skills from his father, Woody.
For Rog...

I had a friend named Roger in Reading in the late 50's. We finally caught up with each other several months back. Bear in mind I was probably no more than 3 during the first visit and then about 7 or 8 the next time we were in England at Upper Heyford.
Jim, after listening to them.....perhaps it would have been kinder if you hadn't re-posted them! :mfr_lol:
Philistine! I like most kinds of music except US country music. Gives me a headache, it does.
About the special on Sinatra the other night...it sucked. Except for Seth MacFarlane. He was the only one out of all the imitators (rotten all of them except for him) that had the 'voice'. Not something I can describe but I knows it when I hears it.
Rush, from their latest (last?) album.

Dam#! Dr. Feelgood is great! Never heard of them before now. They have an album on Amazon that's $33, I'm thinking it's worth it. Thanks, Rog! Makes me want to  and :biker3:. They actually sound more mid-60's to early 70's.
