where you just can't be arsed? I gotta feeling I'm gonna have one today
Yep - had a few of those just recently - hence my day out yesterday and looking at the weather this morning I could be out again - just going to have a think where
Steve
Unfortunately I can't get out, but I am working from home today. I could do with having a blast on the bike just to unwind
There is always tomorrow :)
Ah, tomorrow I'll be at Oulton Park on a track day. Looking forward to trying to get my knee closer to the ground
tomorrow morning, i am fitting a footpeg (long story.....but 2 min job)..... and winding my suspension settings right down and re-setting (using handy chart on here)...as for today...well i am at work, and truly can't be bothered...its been a tough few weeks and i've hit the wall :(
You do realise that you will have to take the bike out for an extensive test ride afterwards ;) ;)
Problem with suspension is that it takes ages to do. The initial bit is easy to do but its the tweaking that takes ages.
I did have plans to work on the bike on Sunday but the way I'm feeling now, don't think I'll bother. Can't remember specifically what I was going to do.
Thinking that I could buy some bank of ireland shares @10c/share and hopefully if they go up to 40c/share by year end - well, that's a new GTR ;D. Jeez, these share traded around 18e at their peak and now around 12c. I bet there's some peeved off people out there

Yes mate......it all depends on how early i finish it off...i have the folks from Uuup Norf arriving circa 2pm (they are visiting wales at the moment and staying in the hotel we stayed in nr Llandovery last year)
right i have now had enough...our servers have crashed, and a processor has failed...so no emails, no CRM ...in fact the only thing that works is the internet!!!.......Ebay here i come
Aye, as long as the internet works there's a life line. What you looking for on ebay - or shouldn't we ask? :o

Just put a bid in for some pannier bags....have been in car park adjusting idle speed as it has dropped for some reason!! circa 900 prm atm hot idle after Beowulf fitted...which i think is the cause of a stutter in the engine at low revs (i think)
Same happened to mine. Idle is at 1200rpm now
Just driving down to tony archer now to get seat adjusted

£60 quid to get the seat firmer and a new covering. Let's see how my butt fairs on the new seat
Bargains £60 is excellent.......... bit far for me to ride though...might be worth looking in, next time i head up Norf'

I noticed the idle speed on mine dropped a little bit after I get back from our French tour - probably due to make the engine work a bit harder by having the revs up around 7-8k through a lot of those twisties ;D ;D ;D ;D Seems to be ok.
Steve
Decided to pop out for several hours to my favourite coffee place for coffee, cake and too read the paper- ;D ;D ;D
I think its was a bit more than that, the idle when warm was roughly 900rpm...this happened after fitting the new exhaust.....so my engine was already on slow idle in France....but recently i have noticed a stutter in the engine (in low gear, when pulling away.....proper on/off/on/off when slipping the clutch)...to be fair i suspected the throttle position sensor, or possibly air filter and/or throttle body vacuum. But i have spent some time reading through the service manual today, and suspect its to do with the ECu leaning the mixture off with the non standard exhaust and a low idle speed...we will have to wait and see
If this doesn't cure it, i'll slap in a new BMC air filter. Have also loosened off, lubed and re-adjusted clutch lever just to be sure...gonna check free play in the throttle tomorrow, but it feels right to me ::)
MOst ECU's go through a learning process when adjusting mixtures...you used to be able to reset the Honda ones...so you could get the ECU to start from scratch (so to speak)......any-one know if this is possible with the GTR???

I'm sure I read it is possible. You need the Kawasaki software to do it. It was going to be one of my pet projects (part of my mission to put a homebrew computer on the Kawa which will let you monitor all sensors and reset data, including ECU). Just not got around to it

Ok.....so work was a wash out out......have just finished doing suspension and foot peg ...time to crack open a beer and survey my handy work!

What a fantastic suggestions.......I have definately had one of 'those' days!
Time to go for a kebab
I've just ordered some chicken pakora and a garlic chilli chicken balti. Bradford, curry capital of the North ;D
Now where's my grub!! :D
Which restaurant? Bradford, or Bradistan (I can get away with saying that :D), has some good curry houses. Mumtaz is overrated imo
