Since having me bike in May, thought I could handle the slight brake wobble from the front discs. :scooter:
But 7000 miles later it's really starting to grate with me!
Tried cleaning / freeing the bobbins on the floaters, as found here, but not made any difference. :hammer:
What was the problem with solid discs that we could get reground? License to print money me thinks!
Looking at Wemoto / Demon Tweeks gonna cost £150 - £200 each. :undecided:
Cradely Kawasaki..........£255.01 ( why 1p!) each disc, wow £500+ fix for an inbalance!
Dealer who I bought it from said nothing wrong with EBC's, they'll meet me 1/2 way on a new pair as I questioned it before, and had loads of wasted time when they repaired theTPS - 3 times!
Any experience of EBC replacement discs out there?
I'd rather they fit in case imbalance starts through bad fitting, but is the cheaper option false economy?
Thoughts appreciated please.
get yourself some of the cheap discs off ebay, get the Chinese Arashi brand , ive had them on other big kwakers and some off here have had them on the GTR , plenty of good reviews about them. they didn't warp and they didn't even rust unlike the stockers
20k miles on my Arashi disks now and other than a slight vibe at very low speeds I like them.
Have them on my GTR1000 as well.
I fitted Armstrong wavy discs at 8000m been fine for the last 18000m , so can recommend them ,
hi ,
here in italy many guys change the original front disc with Brembo serie oro ( Brembo gold series). Quality of Brembo is excellent !!!

Otherwise Braking, little bit more expansive than Brembo, but you can have the same profile of the original disc.

I went through six sets on mine in 13k. All under warranty. I heard that if you put HH sintered pads in they cured the problem. I did that and have had no issues since. Currently on 22k on standard discs

I have the EBC front discs and pads on mine. Only done about 1000 miles with them on so too early to say if I'll warp em, but they certainly stop the bike well!
