This is obviously going to be weather permitting but unless it's sub-zero temperatures and the roads are covered in snow I see no reason why it wont come off.
Time is to be confirmed but the plan is to meet up hopefully well before midday at the Ponderosa Café, http://www.ponderosacafe.co.uk/ and then have a wonder around Snowdonia National Park, no route has been planned but we'll just go with the flow. Pub lunch somewhere, plenty of toilet breaks for those with weak bladders, (me) and hopefully a good day out.
If your interested, please come along, everything very informal and of course everyone is welcome. Just let me know via this thread if you can make it.

Debs, even from where I live, I often go up to Scotland for the day for a pub lunch, before I return home suitably stuffed and content. Yes it's a long way but it would be great to meet you if you thought the GTR could travel such a long journey in one day.

Once at the cafe how many miles are you thinking of doing after that , I like a good Ride out , but I am not a iron butt rider , its a 260 m round trip to the cafe and back for me ,so just wondering what I would be letting my self in for , :biker3:
It's not going to be anything daft, trust me. I was planning on going to Bedgellert (if that's how you spell it) and Bala Lake followed by Betwys - Y -Coed where we could stop at the Swallow Falls Hotel. That's just a rough idea just to give us some direction and it'll take us in a bit of a loop through the National Park. We normally stop and have a coffee or (hot chocolate in my case) every now and again and a natter.
All the riding will be sensible and within the speed limits. Neither of us are speed freaks.
If I meet you at hartstead services at 8.30 , or later how's that sound , :biker3:

So, me and the good lady head to Cheshire, great days riding, amazing autumnal colours and dry roads......but turned out very, very, expensive! :angry:
Lunch needed - driving passed a National Trust site - she says.....lets go in, never been here and it looks nice, and even offers to buy soup and a roll!
Wallet starts cringing in my pocket......£9 each to get in........annual membership speil starts, wife decides we should do it as kids no longer about.
And guess who hasn't got her bank card with her...........wallet eventually torn from defensive position and handing over a tidy sum for NT membership!
Shouldn't complain as there are some fantastic sites in great places, with great rides for the bike........but..........
